To commemorate Women’s History Month, the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County is presenting a program called “Embracing Their Dual Identity to Promote Reform: The Illinois Women’s Committee during WWI.” The program will be held on Sunday, March 25 at 2 p.m. at the History Museum, 332 Maine, and will feature speaker Dr. Ginny Boynton.
During her talk, Dr. Boynton, a Western Illinois University professor specializing in American women’s history and the war period from 1914 to 1945, will explore wartime activities of Illinois women and their new roles during World War I.
Light refreshments will be available. The presentation is open to the public and free of charge.
